But that’s just the beginning. Check out the new features— *Dual Stage Pivot System—This revolutionary new system is patented and exclusive to Gaerne and is sure to be a hit. The first pivot is attached to the "Razorback," providing a rigid component that offers strong lateral support while a glide plate keeps the upper firm and upright. The second pivot is fixed on a sliding glide that allows the rider’s foot to move naturally on the peg during shifting or braking—however, it will "bottom out" and absorb shock in case of over-jumping or unwanted compression. *Grip Guard—On the inner side of the boot is the all-new rubber "Grip Guard." It delivers exceptional grip on the bike while offering heat-resistant padding against your inner leg. *Front Plate/Shin Guard—This new thermoplastic shin plate is anatomically shaped for a perfect fit. By removing three screws, the rider can widen the opening to accommodate larger legs or knee braces. *Buckle System—The SG-12 uses four lightweight alloy buckles attached to adjustable straps. This "tried and true" system provides easy on and off with a fail-safe design. Keeping it simple! *Gaiter—Made from a new Swiss breathable fabric called Acronos, the gaiter is extremely stretchy yet perfectly shaped to keep sand and debris out. Interior Lining—Inside, you’ll find the famous "Gaerne Memory Cell Foam," known for delivering the most comfortable fit and feel ride after ride. *Heel Cup—The new heel cup is designed to absorb shock during rear compression impacts and also serves as a stylish place to showcase the new "G" logo! *Toe Box—This new design features a slimmer shape in the toe area for improved feel of the shift lever and bike controls. The entire area is wrapped in a new plastic material that is lighter and enhances comfort and bike feedback. *Toe Cap—The all-new toe cap has been redesigned and reinforced to provide a tougher, more durable look. *Sole—The SG-12 features a new sole design. While fresh in appearance, it still uses Gaerne’s famous "Dual Composite" anti-shock rubber that has made Gaerne soles renowned worldwide. Insole—Inside the boot is a newly molded footbed specially designed to support the foot correctly. The rear section includes a new shock-absorbing material, while the front section is constructed to allow foot ventilation.
