6D ATR-3 Wave Helmet (Gloss Gold/White) Overview
The 6D ATR-3 Wave Helmet in gloss gold and white is a premium off-road helmet designed to provide enhanced protection, comfort and ventilation. It incorporates several of 6D's latest safety and performance technologies.
Key Features:
- Omni-Directional Suspension™ (ODS):
This system provides superior impact energy management by allowing the inner liner to move independently of the outer shell. This reduces both linear and angular acceleration forces during impact.
- 3K Carbon Composite Shell:
The shell utilizes a high-strength carbon fiber composite for optimal strength while maintaining a lightweight construction. The design provides a balance of stiffness and energy absorption to prevent punctures without sacrificing flexibility.
- Multi-Impact EPP Outer Lining:
Placed against the inside of the shell, this expanded polypropylene liner absorbs energy in the event of multiple impacts. Integrated “dumping towers” provide progressive resistance during accidents.
- Replaceable Internal EPS Lining:
The internal expanded polystyrene lining acts as an additional layer of protection – essentially a “helmet within a helmet.” It is replaceable if damaged or worn, extending the life of the helmet.
- Air-Gap™ Ventilation System with Ram Air Direct-to-Brow Cooling:
Improved ventilation channels effectively direct cool air to key areas of the helmet, such as the forehead, for comfort during intense riding.
- Removable/Washable Antibacterial Comfort Lining:
The inner padding is designed for hygiene and easy maintenance.
