The FC 450 remains the flagship of Husqvarna’s motocross lineup, and the 2025 model continues this legacy with major engineering advancements. A redesigned chromium-molybdenum steel frame provides lower weight, improved balance, and increased agility without sacrificing straight-line stability. Race-tested Dunlop Geomax MX34 tires enhance traction across varied surfaces, while updated ergonomics offer superior rider control and reduced fatigue.

New Swedish-inspired graphics applied using in-mold technology deliver a clean, long-lasting appearance and complement the refined bodywork. Every component has been optimised for racing performance, ensuring the FC 450 remains among the most competitive bikes in its class.

Powerful engine

The lightweight 26.8 kg engine centralizes mass and significantly improves handling characteristics. Service markers on the engine cases simplify maintenance.

Cylinder head

The compact SOHC head positions the camshaft near the bike’s centre of gravity, improving stability and agility. Low-friction guides and an oil spray jet ensure efficient cooling.

Cylinder and piston

A lightweight aluminium cylinder houses a CP forged piston weighing just 327 g. With a 95 mm bore and 63.4 mm stroke, combined with a 13.6:1 compression ratio, it delivers explosive power and class-leading performance.

Crankshaft

The crankshaft’s position enhances agility and traction. Its robust plain big-end bearing provides durability with extended 90-hour service intervals.

Lightweight frame

For 2025, the frame uses optimized wall thickness in high-stress zones, reducing weight by 300 g. New engine mounts improve flex behaviour and rider feedback.

Polyamide-reinforced aluminium subframe

Constructed from 60% polyamide and 40% aluminium, the two-piece subframe weighs only 1.8 kg and balances strength with engineered flex.

CNC machined triple clamps

CNC triple clamps ensure precise fork alignment, improved stability and customizable handlebar flex options.

WP XACT front suspension

The updated 48 mm WP XACT fork works in harmony with the new frame. Easy air-pressure adjustment and a hydrostop function ensure consistent damping and rider feedback.

Functional bodywork

Refined bodywork increases contact surfaces and stability, enhancing comfort during long motos. A wider seat with high-grip cover improves control during acceleration.

Hydraulic clutch

The Brembo hydraulic clutch guarantees consistent performance and nearly maintenance-free operation.

Hydraulic brakes

Brembo calipers with aluminium construction and 260/220 mm discs deliver strong and reliable braking performance.

Wheels and tyres

D.I.D. rims with CNC hubs and MX34 tires provide strength, reduced unsprung weight, and optimal traction.

Exhaust system

A two-piece exhaust with a tuned resonance chamber maximizes performance and centralizes mass.

Cooling system

CFD-designed aluminium radiators and a central frame tube maintain consistent coolant flow under all conditions.

Fuel tank

A 7.2 L tank with an updated rubber cushion protects against frame wear. Integrated filter and pump maximize usable fuel volume.

Electronics: Map Select Switch, Quickshifter, Traction Control, Launch Control

The handlebar-mounted switch enables full control of engine modes, Quickshifter, TC and LC. Quickshifter works from 2nd gear onward. Traction Control analyzes throttle and RPM behaviours. Launch Control limits power for optimal starts.
