What to look for

• Certification: the EN 1077 standard for alpine skiing and snowboarding.
• MIPS: a low friction layer that reduces rotational force in an angled impact.

Measure your head two centimetres above the eyebrows. The helmet should sit level and stay put when you shake your head, with no pressure points and no gap to the goggles.
