A tactical boot is built for sustained load with equipment, not just for walking.

Reinforced build: seams, mesh and laces take heavier and rougher use.
Non reflective materials: finishes that do not catch the light.
Toe cap and stable sole: impact protection and control on uneven ground.

Membrane models suit wet climates, while drained versions dry faster after wading.
