• Length: shorter turns faster and suits park, longer holds speed and floats in powder.
• Flex: softer boards forgive mistakes, stiffer ones stay stable at speed.
• Shape: twin for freestyle, directional for all mountain and freeride.

The boot must hold the heel down without lift, and the binding has to match the boot size.
